Update: Well, It Appears the Story’s Not a Fake...

Couldn’t find anything on the story at The Washington Times (no surprise there) or at CNN, but the Gray Lady has their version of it available, “Rumsfeld Strikes Back at Critics of U.S. Effort on Terror,” though registration is required to view the article; the LA Times is also running a briefer version of the story (registration also required), as are Reuters, the Associated Press, and the Agence France-Presse. I’ve also e-mailed the Post’s ombudsman, Michael Getler, so we’ll see if we get anywhere on that front. In the meantime, if anyone else finds out any additional information, let me know.
