Drumroll, Please... It’s Here!
Quick notice — the autumn issue of Inkblots is up and running, featuring not one, but three contributions from yours truly.
First up is my usual classic movie critique, this time on Singin’ in the Rain. I’m particularly proud of it in that I’d never been a big fan of musicals; taking this on presented a significant personal challenge for me, and I ended up really enjoying it. Next is a personal story (appearing in the “Voice” section) entitled “Mortality”. It’s something I put together back when I was figuring out what I’d do for Fray Day, but I thought it ended up working better as a written piece. And finally, I’ve got a feature essay called “What Value Truth?” Yes, it’s politically themed, but I used it as an opportunity to flesh out my usual ranting into something more coherent; it forced me to really think about the underlying themes of what I rattle off on a daily basis.
So please, everyone give the magazine a read, and let me know what you think.
Of course, if you don’t like it, I reserve the right to just delete your comments.
Just kidding.
Sort of.
